This blog is not dead yet ... I am still spending bit of time into research on the places of Insex. For today, let's go back to New York.
For some time I have been wondering about PD's Brooklyn studios. The movies don't hide the fact that they were filmed in a studio location in "Dumbo" (Down under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass), New York.
A typical scene is e.g. the Manhattan Bridge shown in the "2004-02-25 Bridge" movie (Image #1) , starring Anna . This movie features one scene showing a nice overview of Manhattan Bridge (supposedly from Anna's appartment (Image #2) , but this cannot be true as we know it's located in Manhattan, near Henry St); the point of view hardly leaves any other option than being located at some higher floor from within the block between Front and Water St and Jay and Pearl St.
This is consistent with results returned from "people search" engines like truepeoplesearch.com. One of the locations given for PD is sixty-eight Jay Street which is exactly this block between Front and Water St in Dumbo New York. So this matches well.
Then there are some scenes that show PD's van arriving or departing a garage which apparently is home to PD's studio (or one of them).
The first one is "Snow". Here, Angelica is pushed into the van (Image #3), put on a chair and electrified, ready to be driven to the farm. The van then leaves the garage (Image #4) . The other one is "Cattle Car", where Cowgirl is kidnapped and taken to the garage. We see the white limo entering into the garage (Image #5+6). Both scenes are taken from inside the "garage" studio, showing the street front.
However, that street front with its two unique concrete columns facing the entrance door left and right is cleary the entrance to sixty-eight Jay St (Image #7 from Google Street View). So the entrance to the "garage" studio clearly must be on the side of Jay St opposite to sixty-eight.
But where is that "garage" studio location located? And are there two studios? Let's find out in the next post, coming soon.
